§ 36-150. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Dismantled vehicle and partially dismantled vehicle means a vehicle from which some part which is ordinarily a major component of such vehicle has been removed or is missing.

    Nonoperating vehicle means a vehicle which by reason of dismantling, disrepair or other cause is incapable of being propelled under its own power, or in the common, usual, and customary manner.

    Unlicensed vehicle means a vehicle which is not equipped or displayed with a current year registration plate, certificate of number, and/or registration decal, as required under the Michigan Vehicle Code (MCL 257.1 et seq.) and/or the Michigan Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (MCL 324.101 et seq.).

    Vehicle means a wheeled vehicle which is self-propelled or intended to be self-propelled; or any vessel, boat, sailboat, or watercraft.
