§ 2-20. Applicant investigations.

  • (a)

    All parttime and/or fulltime persons to be employed by the city shall undergo the necessary investigation to determine the qualifications, competency and fitness for the position for which he is to be employed.

    (b)

    Investigations shall be limited to that which is necessary to determine a person's competence, qualification and fitness for the position for which he shall be employed; subject, however, to the applicant's right to privacy and other rights as provided in law.

    (c)

    The city administrator, or his designee, shall be responsible for conducting such investigations. His findings shall not be made public or divulged to any person not having a need to know such information.
