§ 22-430. Providing false identification to a police officer.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person arrested for or charged with a crime or civil infraction by a police officer, or during the course of a police officer's investigation of a crime or civil infraction, to knowingly and deliberately give either verbally or by written documentation, identification cards or papers, a false name or false address to the police officer.

    (b)

    Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
