§ 8-24. Fees; late fees for certain construction permits.

  • (a)

    The fee required to be paid to obtain any license or permit shall be as provided in the schedule of fees adopted by the council. No license shall be issued to any applicant unless he first pays to the issuing authority a fee in the amount required for the type of license or permit desired.

    (b)

    The fees for all residential permits, commercial permits, industrial permits, electrical permits, heating and cooling permits, fence permits, demolition permits, pool permits, water tap-in fees, sewer tap-in fees, tile installation and curb cuts shall be two times the fee provided in the fee schedule effective at the time whenever such permit is applied for after the work contemplated by such permit has begun prior to the issuance of such permit.
