§ 6-518. Potable water to be used; manner of filling.

Every swimming pool shall be filled and maintained with potable water. If a hose is used to fill the pool or to add makeup water, an acceptable vacuum breaker shall be installed on the hose thread of the hose bib, sill cock of fixture. Fill spouts will be acceptable if located under a diving board or installed so as to prevent any hazard and provided there is a fixed air gap above the pool coping at least twice the diameter of the fill spout.
