§ 4-140. Expiration; renewal.

  • Licenses shall be issued for the calendar year beginning January 1 and expiring December 31, of each year. Fees shall not be prorated for periods of less than one year. No license shall extend beyond the termination of the calendar year for which the license is issued. Application for renewal either in person or by mail of the annual domestic animal license may be made 30 days prior to and up to ten days after the beginning of each calendar year. A penalty, as provided in the schedule of fees adopted by the council, shall be charged for each domestic animal license obtained after the expiration of the before-described time period.
