§ 40-61. Definitions.

  • The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

    Noxious weeds includes Canadian thistle, dodders, mustard, wild carrot, bind weed, perennial snow thistle, hoary alyssum, ragweed, goldenrod, poison ivy and poison sumac. It shall also include any other weeds and grass over eight inches high. The purpose of this article is to remove noxious weeds, weeds and grass which may create a condition detrimental to the public health and welfare and/or cause a blight on the area.
