§ 36-157. Special permit.

  • In the event of unique hardship arising from literal enforcement of this article, an owner of a vehicle may store or park on the owner's premises one unlicensed vehicle if the vehicle is operable, registered in the owner's name, and such owner secures a permit to store or park such vehicle from the director of public safety. Such permit shall state the reason for exemption, conditions of the permit and the period of the permit. At any time that the director of public safety determines the permit holder to be in violation of the conditions of the permit he shall notify the permit holder by written notice of the violation and such permit holder shall have 48 hours to comply with this article. Failure to comply with such notice shall be a violation of this article.
