§ 2-197. Smaller projects; engineering fees; schedule.

Latest version.
  • The city engineer may, by regulations adopted upon the recommendation of the city administrator and approval by the council, prescribe a schedule of reasonable fees for other services performed by the engineering department in connection with appeals, variance hearings, inspections, consideration of application for permits, or obtaining information which an individual was required to supply but which he has failed to supply, including tests, analyses and other relevant information; provided, however, that such fees shall be based on reasonable estimates of actual costs to the city. Such regulations shall constitute notice to the city clerk, and at the time of the issuance of the applicable permit or the filing of the petition for variance, the engineering costs necessary to be incurred as reflected in said fee schedule shall be collected by the city clerk as a charge in addition to the basic permit fee or petition fee.
