§ 26-1. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Collection day means the day which has been established by the director as the regular collection day for garbage or rubbish in the area involved.

Commercial garbage means all garbage resulting from commerce or industry.

Commercial rubbish means all rubbish resulting from commerce or industry.

Construction rubbish means all rubbish resulting from excavation, construction, remodeling, altering or demolishing.

Director means the director of public works of the city and shall include any person designated by him for specific work.

Garbage means all refuse of animal, tree or vegetable substance containing moisture.

Rubbish means all refuse except garbage.
