The public park system shall include, for the purposes of this chapter, all playgrounds
and athletic fields maintained by the city school district within the city limits,
and as well all municipally owned parks, playfields, wooded areas or undeveloped city-owned
acreage maintained or utilized as athletic, instructional, recreational, picnic or
nature study areas, and the use thereof shall be controlled, restricted and regulated
by this chapter, and in certain instances, as hereinafter set forth, by administrative
regulations.
