That NFPA 1, Fire Code, 2009 edition, and documents adopted by chapter 2, copies of which are on file and open to inspection by the public in the office of
the city clerk, are hereby adopted and incorporated, by reference, into this article
as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this article shall
take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the
City of Gibraltar. The same are hereby adopted as the Code of the City of Gibraltar
for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life
and property from fire and explosion and providing for issuance of permits and collections
of fees.
Each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of the NFPA 1, Fire
Code, 2009 edition, are hereby adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set forth
in this chapter. Such adoption is hereby authorized and made pursuant to city Charter
sections 2.2 and 7.7, and by Michigan Statute, MCL 117.3(k).
